The Model 5946 is a hammer-less, double action only pistol that is a third generation semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Smith and Wesson. The Model 5946 features an ambidextrous safety/decocker lever, a 10 round magazine and Novak three-dot combat sights. The S&W Model 5946 has been used by the F.B.I. as well as numerous police departments in the USA, including the NYPD.
